Forum/Chat Guidelines

We know, we know - "Rules??! Bah!"

However, every community has to have at least a few guidelines in order for things to run smoothly. We promise to make this as painless as possible. (We will continue to say "guidelines" for the benefit of the Pirates of the Caribbean fans.)

Firstly:

Becoming a member of this site means agreeing to the Privacy Policy and theTerms of Service of both the Ning network and Cheektopia.

On with the guidelines!

1. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. If you have to, play the song to really get in the mood for this one. Cheektopia is about building bonds, sharing, creating and acceptance. There will be a zero tolerance policy in regards to people not being able to follow this basic rule. If you come here to bash, gang-up on, or in any other way discriminate fellow users, you will receive a warning. Should that warning not be effective, your membership here will be terminated.

2. Cheeks created this network, and while his word is golden, there is a team of administrators in position to take care of business while he is hard at work and unable to be here. You can learn more about these administrators by clicking here. We promise they've had all of their shots and have been trained not to bite.

3. Please be conscientious of what you post here on Cheektopia in regards to videos, music and pictures. This comes back to being respectful of your fellow users. Do not post media that is blatantly offensive towards a certain race, religion or sexuality. Also keep in mind that there are minors that frequent this site. The administration reserves the right to remove any content that is deemed inappropriate without warning.

4. The chatroom here at Cheektopia is a popular hang out. We aim to make the chat fun and interesting for everything that comes into it. Again, we can't stress this enough, be respectful of fellow users in the chat. Do not come in the chat to start arguments or bash users or to start arguments over artists (i.e. "Oh my God, SoAndSo is so much better than WhatsHisFace, if you talk bad about him, I swear to eff I will smack a bitch up"). Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and discussion is encouraged, however abuse of the chat will result in suspension if after warning the behavior is not resolved.

5. TALKING IN ALL CAPS ALL THE TIME IN THE CHAT ROOM IS NOT ONLY ANNOYING, BUT UNNECESSARY. Please, be kind to your CapsLock key and allow it a break every once in a while. Use your best judgment.

6. In the forums and chat, please refrain from spamming. Post/discuss/chat about basically anything, but don't go to everyone's page and post a link to your website about pugs in tutus, or post links to your website about flannel in a forum topic about recipes. Keep topics in the appropriate place, and if there isn't one, create it!

See, that wasn't so bad was it? We feel confident that all of our dear members of Cheektopia will have no problem abiding by these rules.
