I thought we should have a place to share crazy dreams we've had, and perhaps discuss what they could mean. Maybe some artsy peeps could get inspiration?I just know we've spent a lot of time in the chat room discussing the topic.I have tons of crazy dreams to share...
I'm fascinated that you dream about water every night. Water is a symbol of your subconscious emotions... are there certain feelings that you are trying to suppress? Because that could be indicative of the drowning feelings you have in your dreams.
For me, I dream about elevators every night. I've read that if an elevator is going up in your dream, that you're feeling optimistic about things, and if they are going down, you are feeling down about something. But I feel like my elevators are more complex than that...because in my dreams the elevator is always drastically different from the one before it. Sometimes they are made of solid glass or metal, sometimes sticks or netting. Sometimes they are as big as a room, and sometimes so tiny I can barely fit. Sometimes they have other people in them, sometimes I'm alone. And they often move up, down, sideways, backwards, swing, or roll on tracks.
I'm not sure what it means, but even in dreams where the elevator is not the focus, there is usually at least one in the background. I've been having elevators in my dreams since I was 16...
I still remember the first dream I had... I was in a futuristic hotel. Not one that felt super-futuristic, but like maybe 20-30 years in the future. There were clear tubes everywhere and people would get in these weird cylindrical elevators to go from floor to floor. It kind of weirded me out because I had never seen anything like it, so I didn't want to ride them.
So I wandered around the hotel instead, which was very fancy. But then I took a wrong turn and found myself in a hallway that looked dingy and not at all like the rest of the hotel. It was much like an underground subway station... drab and yellow. I had a horrible feeling inside, like I shouldn't be there, but I was compelled to keep walking along the hallway to see what was at the end.
At the end was an elevator made out of giant bones. It looked so rickety and creepy and sat there in the middle of the floor, attached to a rope cable. I looked up the shaft to see where it led, but it was dark and I couldn't see anything.
I stood there and wondered whether or not to enter the elevator and see where it took me, but I was afraid. I wasn't sure I was ready to see what lay at the other end.
I woke up then, and later on I told my dad about the dream and he freaked out because he said he had a very similar dream a few years back where he was in a futuristic hotel and afraid to ride a mysterious elevator to the top.
Now I kind of regret not riding the bone elevator and haven't seen it since...
Is it normal to dream that you died , went to heaven, then came back because you didnt like it?
Could i have died in my sleep?
Also before you got to this "heaven" you had to make your way through a sort of maze.
and "heaven" as "God" told me was where you want it to be. And mine apparently was back in Poland.
So i went there. Everything looked simply glorious. But for some odd reason i got terribly bored and wanted to go back to earth. So i ran away from heaven. And "god" told me i had to climb over this hill to make it back to earth. My dream ends by me climbing a hill.
Could climbing a hill mean overcoming an obstacle in my life?
Help?
Let's see. Probably the wierdest dream I've ever had was only wierd because of what happened when I woke up. In the dream, one horse, Bo, was completely flipping out. I don't know why, but he was in his stall and just bouncing off the walls. I do something else in the dream. When I return, Sebastian, the horse across the aisle, has been put in the stall with Bo to keep him from hurting himself.
I wake up. I go downstairs, and my mum is making pancakes. I start to tell her about my weird dream when the phone rings. It's the barn owner. Bo has West Nile, and they had to sedate him to keep him from flipping out and hurting himself. Apparently Sebastian keeps nickering to him, making sure he's ok.
I hasn't happened since, and I don't know why. I hadn't been to the barn in a couple of weeks, so it wasn't like I noticed that Bo was acting odd in my subconscious. It just happened.
Other weird dreams...Well, I have ones where I can fly, but it's more like I can swim through the air than I can fly. Also, I keep having dreams where things go horribly wrong, and I keep rewinding and doing something else and they still go wrong. That one's actually pretty awful, because it's the same thing, over and over again.
In one I dreamed Cheeks was putting on a show of some sort, and I found out that my mother had booked a hotel room for the night so we could travel and see it. I got totes pissed, because I didn't want my mother coming to a Cheeks concert and ruining it, and she didn't even ask me.
But I also had a really crazy dream. In it I had three baby fawns at the house where I grew up. I picked up the tiniest fawn and was carrying it in my arms around the property. I brought her into the garden and started trying to feed it random things to see what it liked. I started with a tomato, and she started chewing it and then spit it out. Then I fed it a piece of sweet potato, a strawberry, and picked three apples off a tree and let her pick the one she wanted to eat. Then the deer bit my nose very softly, and I woke up.
