"an experience that satisfies every sense"

I thought we should have a place to share crazy dreams we've had, and perhaps discuss what they could mean. Maybe some artsy peeps could get inspiration?I just know we've spent a lot of time in the chat room discussing the topic.I have tons of crazy dreams to share...

i'm pretty good at decyphering dreams but its like tarot cards. everything is subjective..

CHEEKY DREAMS
#1 -- Early May 2009

The first time I dreamed about Cheeks, I tend to think of as a prophetic dream. It was in Early to mid May I believe, whenever Mr. Twitter Universe was going on. We had all just begun talking to each other, leaving long strings of myspace status comments in which we replied to each other's comments and turned Cheeks' myspace status page into a crude chat room. The first night this method really took off, we strung hundreds of comments all up and down his page, and Cheeks even threw his two cents in here and there. We spent every waking moment voting, and while waiting for our 20 minute timers to buzz for the next vote, we chatted on Cheeks' myspace page.

Well that night, when I finally couldn't keep my eyes open, I had this dream. I dreamed I was in a club. It was dark, but there were glowing colored lights and flashing strobe-ish type lights. The scene was dreamlike, even for a dream, with things spinning and foggy and off balance. I dreamed that the people I'd been chatting with on Cheeks' myspace page were there, several of them, all carrying drinks, and when I'd run into one of them, we'd hug all "hay gurl haaay" and we were dancing and carrying on and it was great. Through all of this, Cheeks was there, in the background, kind of watching but not moving, never talking, never engaging with us, or dancing, or drinking. He just stood there in the background while the party swirled around him.

If you go back far enough in Cheeks' status comments, you'll see where I came back the next day and told everyone about my dream. I remember making a big deal out of Cheeks being a wallflower, and how unrealistic that was, how if that dream were real, Cheek's would be right in the middle of it all.

Fast Forward five months, and Herm, Raven, Jo, Jam, Tania and I are celebrating Cheeks' birthday at a little gay club in Chatty. I'm drunk off my ass, so everything is foggy and spinny and the lights are glowing multicolored from our glowsticks and the blacklights and there are flashing lights on the dance floor. And we're all dancing, hugging, drinking... as a six foot tall cardboard cutout of Cheeks gazes on from the stage.

In all my life I've never had such a profound moment of deja vu. It was almost dizzying (or that could have been the eighty bucks worth of stoli and sprite) how much it felt like I had been there and done this before.

Thanks for starting this topic, Brenda!

I have always been fascinated with dreams and their interpretations. I am such a sucker for the symbolism found in dreams - it never ceases to amaze me. I do believe dreams can be prophetic, but I don't usually put any stock in dream dictionaries that say certain dream symbols mean this or that specific thing will happen to you. I'm more interested in the idea that dreams are a mirror reflecting our deepest subconscious selves, and our state of mind.

I've kept a dream journal since I was 16. I have to admit, I'm a little hesitant to share some of my dreams because they really do expose my inner self, and I tend to keep that to myself :)

But maybe I'll share some older dreams I had, whose lessons have already been learned ;)

It's all good. I have some I don't share... we all have our secrets and our bits of ourselves that are for ourselves.

The second time I dreamed of Cheeks, I dreamed that he was in Maine for some odd reason, but it wasn't strange in the dream, it just happened to be the setting. I dreamed that Cheeks, Herm, Raven, and I were on a booze run, and I was driving. Herm and Raven were in the back seat of my Audi, already drunk, having a very serious discussion about what liquor would be "sexiest." Cheeks was riding shotgun driving me crazy by trying to tell me how to drive. "Omg red light RED LIGHT BRENDA.... turn here.... right here... THERE turn Brenda!" And I was replying very bitchily, "DUDE will you fucking CHILL I've lived here my whole life, you think I don't know where the goddamn liquor store is?!" Cheeks continues being neurotic, and I turned to him and opened my mouth to tell him to STFU when I woke up. I awoke SO ANNOYED with him, and it lasted about five minutes, it was that vivid (even though I knew that was irrational. LOL).

The third time I dreamed of Cheeks I dreamed he lived in this massive haunted mansion (this was before his podcast where he described his dream home, no shit) and I was hanging out there like it was some normal thing (apparently in my dreams Cheeks and I have a very established drinking buddy relationship).

No shit, I seriously dreamed for hours that night that I was sitting cross legged in a massive dark brown leather armchair eating tons of eggrolls and watching soap operas, while Cheeks was curled up asleep on the couch. There was a big fireplace with a flat screen TV above, and I got up to try to change the channel, because I HATE soap operas, and I was trying really hard to be quiet, but Cheeks woke up anyway.

He kind of stretches like a cat with this happy little sound, and twists his top half the opposite direction of his bottom half so he can rest his elbow on the arm of the couch and his chin on one hand. He sort of gazes at me with that dopey, half asleep look people give you, and whines, 'I'm huuuuuuuuuungry..." There's this pause then he smiles one of those dazzling smiles (you know the one I'm talking about) and continues, "...but I love ya!" (as if it's my fault he's hungry, but he loves me anyway? idek.)

I look at him all stupid and sort of wave a half eaten eggroll at him and say, "There's tons more of these."

To which he wrinkles his nose in a "no" and rolls back over and goes back to sleep.

Then I woke up.

I officially have the most RANDOM dreams ever.

last night i dreamed that cheeks was on his way to my house or something and was driving a very tiny car like a mini cooper but more skeletal. but on his way the car broke down but it only took weird parts that no one carried and he was getting so pissed and then i showed up in a giant truck and put his car in the bed of it. i said hey at least its not raining. and he said if it was raining there'd atleast be a pretty rainbow. then he stole my truck and left me and it started to rain. i tried calling him but i didnt have the right number. then he got to my house and called me and wondered where i was and i said YOU LEFT ME BEHIND U BASTARD and he laughed and said he thought i was riding in the bed. i didnt even think of that.
and then i woke up confused.

lmfao! I love that when we dream of Cheeks they are completely random, crackhead dreams.

Must be all that Taco Bell before bed time.

OMG YES! Dreams! I've had tons of random crazy dreams! Those are usually the ones I forget almost immediately upon waking. So I'll be sure to write about them the moment I wake up.

As most of you know I'm a sensitive and empath. I do have dreams that are very phrophetic. I dreamed of my best friend dying in a car accident the day before it happened and my daughter is named after her.

This type of dreaming has happened on tons of occassions. Those tend to stick in my mind almost like a movie.

Sometimes it's little things sometimes its big things. LOTS and LOTS of Deja vu dreams.

Dreams are interesting to say the least. I love the dreams where I'm flying!! I did dream once of me and Cheeks flying but I don't remember much except we were laughing.

I have alot of Alice in Wonderland type dreams where nothing makes sense and nothing fits anywhere but the colors are amazing!

Anyway I'll make sure to write some of mine down before they go poof!

LOVE ya'lls dreams!

I once dreamed I was crawling along a dry river bed sifting through the dirt which was full of "couch cushion junk" such as loose change and mismatched earrings. Every time I found a penny, I would check the dates and keep certain ones. I wish I could remember which dates I kept, but regardless I'm sure there is plenty of symbolism there just waiting to be unravelled.

Water, pools, rivers, lakes, oceans, tsunamis, etc are on my dreams on a nightly basis. I go for months at a time dreaming every single night that I'm drowning. Cheeks gave me some advice once that before going to sleep I should keep reminding myself that if I dream I'm drowning, I can breathe under water. I've been doing that every night since and haven't dreamed of drowning since which is pretty annoying cause I want to try breathing under water. Apparently my subconcious wants me to be scared and is coming up with more effective ways.
